Internships with Serve IT

Serve IT connects students with local nonprofits and government agencies through real-world tech projects. Guided by a Community Engaged Learning model, each project follows industry standards and best practices. Students earn course credit while working in teams matched to their skills and interests. Many return semester after semester, building a portfolio that showcases both technical ability and community impact.

Beyond technical skills, students gain hands-on experience in client communication, project management, and team collaboration—all difficult to learn in a traditional classroom. If you enjoy building things, collaborating with others, and making a real impact in your community, you will love working with Serve IT.

Graduate Internships

Serve IT helped give me the project-management skills needed to land full-time employment. Taking a project someone else started, using their documentation, and finally creating a deliverable is an experience many college students never have.
