Internships with Serve IT

Serve IT connects students with local nonprofits and government agencies through real-world technology projects. Guided by a Community Engaged Learning model, students earn course credit while gaining professional experience. Students return numerous semesters, developing leadership and building a portfolio that showcases technical ability and community impact.

Beyond technical skills, students gain hands-on experience in client communication, project management, and team collaboration—all difficult to learn in a traditional classroom. If you enjoy building things, collaborating with others, and making a real impact in your community, you will love working with Serve IT.

Graduate Internships

Serve IT helped give me the project-management skills needed to land full-time employment. Taking a project someone else started, using their documentation, and finally creating a deliverable is an experience many college students never have.
