The Serve IT Mission
Serve IT students apply technology skills in order to build the capacity of local nonprofits so they may better serve their own missions.
Technology for Social Good
Often, small nonprofits do not have the resources necessary to fulfill their information technology needs. Serve IT is the bridge that connects IU students who have in-demand technology skills with the nonprofits who need them.
Student interns receive course credit and are placed on teams and matched with a nonprofit organization. These groups work to create websites, databases, provide graphic design, and tech support for organizations. We also send interns to afterschool clubs to teach local kids basic computer science standards through fun activities.
The Serve IT Clinic wouldn’t be what it is without our sponsors who help fund the clinic and provide a number of crucial resources.
